As part of its corporate social responsibility activities, Jet Freight is proud to have supported Tiziana Bonnici, who participated in this year’s Race To The Stones challenge in the UK.
This had the participants take on the 100 KM trek, non-stop on ‘The Ridgeway’ which is one of Britain’s oldest roads passing from the Chilterns in Oxfordshire to the 5,000 year old stone circle at Avebury in North Wessex Downs. Tiziana and her team mates completed this challenge in 15 hours and 15 minutes, in what turned out to be one of the hottest days in the UK with temperatures reaching 34 Degrees Centigrade.
Directors, Olvin Galea and Kevin Mifsud presented the sponsorship cheque to Tiziana in the presence of Jet Freight’s staff. The aim of the participation was to raise funds for Puttinu Cares and Tiziana and her team mates raised nearly €1700 towards the cause.
